Mission Report: Panama—From the Border to the Classroom, the Gospel Flows Like Living Water

This month, Carlini Ministries had the incredible privilege of taking the Gospel to Panama—a nation filled with beauty, diversity, and hunger for God’s Word. The journey began in San José, Costa Rica, where I met with Pastor Gino and our ministry team. From there, we traveled by road across the border into Changulona, Panama, located in the Bocas del Toro province.

Even before ministry began, God opened unexpected doors. As we approached the border, I was invited to meet and pray with the military officers stationed there. It was a sacred moment of unity and blessing—asking God to watch over those protecting the nation and to bring revival to Panama from the very gateways of the land.

Once inside Panama, the ministry momentum only grew. Over the course of the trip, we hosted two pastors’ conferences where local leaders gathered for encouragement, training, and renewal. Many of these pastors serve faithfully in remote, rural communities with limited resources but incredible faith. It was humbling to pour into these shepherds who labor daily for the Kingdom.

In addition to the conferences, I had the opportunity to preach in eight church services, including several among indigenous congregations who welcomed us with warmth and gratitude. The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible in every gathering—hearts were softened, tears flowed, and lives were changed.

One of the most impactful moments came when I met with the Minister of Education. After sharing our vision to reach the next generation, she graciously granted us permission to preach in schools and universities throughout the province. What an open door! We visited university, high school, and elementary campuses, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many students received Christ right there on their campuses—an unforgettable move of God among Panama’s youth.

We also ministered in a rural prison, where about 100 men gathered to hear the Good News. Many of them came forward to receive Christ, some weeping as they encountered forgiveness and hope for the first time. In that place of confinement, freedom came—not through open gates, but through open hearts.

Our outreach extended beyond pulpits and platforms. In one remote village, we went house to house distributing water filters—a tangible gift to families in need of clean drinking water. As the team installed each filter, I shared the message of Jesus as the Living Water, the One who satisfies every thirst of the soul. The combination of practical help and spiritual truth brought joy and gratitude to every home we visited.

From the border soldiers to the school students, from the prison yard to the indigenous villages, the message of Jesus flowed like a river of life across Panama. Doors opened that only God could open, and countless lives were touched by His love.

As we reflect on this mission, one verse echoes in our hearts:

“The earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” —Habakkuk 2:14

Thank you to every partner, prayer warrior, and supporter who made this trip possible. Because of your faithfulness, the Gospel reached places where hope had been scarce and light had been dim. Together, we are advancing the Kingdom of God—one nation, one pastor, one family, and one heart at a time.
